Alteo is seeking an IT Infrastructure Tech Lead for a permanent position based in Montreal.

*** Hybrid work: 2 days in the office per week ***

As part of a well-established small-to-medium-sized business offering exciting challenges, you will be responsible for implementing best practices in IT infrastructure. You will have a significant impact by improving processes related to systems, networks, IT security, DevOps, vendor management, and team coaching.

You are an experienced Systems/Network Administrator with excellent analytical skills and a keen sense of organization and priority management. You have an entrepreneurial/builder mindset, are engaged, and results-oriented. You are a strong communicator and are committed to mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, secure, and monitor on-premises and cloud network infrastructures
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of environments
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and supervision tools
• Manage access, firewalls, VPNs, backups, and disaster recovery plans
• Administer cloud environments hosting solutions and web applications
• Participate in the design, architecture, and evolution of cloud solutions
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of platforms
• Support and advise developers on DevOps best practices
• Set up, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Docker environments and service orchestration
• Contribute to deployment, backup, and recovery strategies
• Automate operations and production deployment processes

Profile:

• College diploma or equivalent in IT
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar role: systems/network administration and DevOps
• Solid expertise in network, cloud, and security environments
• Excellent proficiency in Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
• Good understanding of challenges related to deploying SaaS solutions
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and GitHub platforms (a plus)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) (a plus)
• Experience in highly available and mission-critical environments (a plus)
• Awareness of best practices in security, compliance, and governance (a plus)
• Natural leadership, positive attitude, team player
• Ability to collaborate closely with development teams
• Ability to analyze and implement effective processes
• Independence, attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility
