Alteo is seeking a Systems Administrator / DBA for a permanent position based in Montreal.
Responsibilities:
> Manage system administration to ensure the availability and reliability of the platform
- Help define technical server requirements in coordination with project teams
- Ensure the installation and configuration of systems
- Ensure system administration (e.g., backup, restore, monitoring…)
- Ensure performance monitoring, analysis, and evaluation
- Ensure the management of production incidents and their resolution or escalation
- Ensure system evolution and migration in accordance with technical recommendations and/or those of manufacturers and software vendors
> Ensure system security to guarantee the platform’s availability and reliability
- Participate in defining the platform’s security policy
- Monitor security incidents and escalate them as needed
- Participate in platform security audits
> Contribute to developing colleagues’ skills to improve collective performance
- Provide guidance, assistance, and support to colleagues
Profile:
- College diploma or high school diploma in IT or equivalent
- 5–8 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the electronic payments industry (a plus)
- Networks and IT security
- Databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL…)
- Network Architecture (network protocols, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Security Equipment (e.g., Keys, Cryptography, Digital Signatures…)
- System Configuration Management
