Alteo is looking for an IT Director for a permanent position based in Montreal.
*** Hybrid: 50% office / 50% remote work ***
You will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling information technology activities in line with corporate objectives. You will manage the IT team, whose activities include user support, application development, and infrastructure and application maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the human, budgetary, and material resource needs of your division to ensure adequate monitoring of the activities under your responsibility by contributing to the development and implementation of the strategic plan
- Lead, mobilize, plan, and control the activities of all your staff, ensuring the quality of the work performed in accordance with management priorities
- Ensures the development, application, and updating of the master plan (strategies, priorities, and growth plan), policies, procedures, standards, and internal control rules under his or her management, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
- Ensures the development, integration, and maintenance of the organization's IT systems and applications and ensures their security and efficiency, including the security, integration, management, and appropriate programming of building access control systems and camera surveillance systems
- Plans and supervises daily operations, equipment and software maintenance, and technological infrastructure, including networks, servers, user equipment, applications and databases, and cloud data/applications
- Recommends technological development priorities to the management committee and keeps it informed of progress.
- Adapts the services offered by his or her department in line with business growth and technological needs, and implements best management practices in a spirit of continuous improvement. Establishes strategic business relationships and maintains effective relationships with management, suppliers, users, and other partners within the organization in order to optimally align technological developments with business objectives.
- Assists and represents the organization at external committees and meetings within its area of expertise and promotes the organization's goods and services
- Prepares specifications governing calls for tenders and ensures their compliance, interpretation, and application
- Leads the organization's disaster recovery strategy, planning, and continuity plan
- Informs the president of short-, medium-, and long-term corporate directions and objectives for his or her department and collaborates in setting corporate objectives
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
- Training in personnel management (an asset)
- Certification in project management (PMP) and/or cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM) (an asset)
- 10-15+ years of IT experience
- 3+ years of IT team management experience
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience
- Experience in a web development environment
- Experience in cloud infrastructure management
- Experience with new trends and technologies for application development, APIs, AI
- Knowledge of cloud security (OVHCloud, AWS/Azure/GCP), compliance, DevSecOps, and/or product/IoT security
- Knowledge of best IT policies and practices
- Experience in project management, coaching, mentoring, and team support
- Collaborative leadership, ability to mobilize teams and work collaboratively with multiple types of stakeholders
- Skilled manager who can plan, organize, prioritize, and make decisions
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service that is solution-oriented, yet accessible and adaptable
- Ability to solve problems quickly and think creatively
- Demonstrate initiative, rigor, and integrity
