Alteo is looking for a CTO for a permanent position based in Montreal.

As part of a well-established small-to-medium-sized business with strong growth potential, you will play a key role in aligning technology with business needs. Your technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit are major assets in taking the company to its next stage of growth. You will be responsible for building and managing a small software development team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute short- and long-term technology strategies to support the company’s growth
- Lead software development efforts, including hiring and managing the team
- Develop and implement the systems and data security strategy
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure alignment between the business strategy and the technology strategy
- Stay abreast of emerging technology trends
- Liaise with technology partners and vendors
Profile:
- DEC/BAC in IT, software engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in IT, ideally in software development
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the latest technologies, security, and web standards
- Experience in designing, managing, and deploying SaaS applications
- Experience building and managing software development/R&D teams
- Experience in the Fintech industry (a plus)
- Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills
- Leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, results-oriented
- Team player, natural leader capable of guiding and developing team members
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
