Job Description Alteo is looking for a Fintech Consultant (treasury software) for a permanent position based in Montreal.

You will establish and develop new projects as well as monitor on-going projects regarding products, budget, quality, and timeline. Your experience allows you to manage and deliver business and technology projects in the financial industry. Especially your expertise in the fields of treasury solutions, risk management and accounting will enable your success in this role. You will act generally in agile mode, but you will be experienced enough to understand where a long-term perspective is required to deliver a successful outcome.

Responsibilities:
Take an important role in facilitating our project management and make an impact in a growing fintech company by:
  • Joining a highly motivated team dedicated to delivering customer-focused products
  • Fostering cross-functional collaboration by connecting business requirements with technical considerations and programming solutions
  • Discussing on a regular basis client needs to encourage the extension and development of existing applications
  • Working closely with the internal Business team ensuring that business aspects towards the client are covered
  • Solving issues in client’s systems with the help of the internal IT team
  • Supporting the facilitation of deliveries towards the client with the internal team (controlling, time sheets)
  • Applying best practices to provide internal budgets for new projects
  • Making proposals for the client’s management strategy to the solution user
  • Liaising and partnering with clients on the business side to solicit new business opportunities

Profile:
  • University degree in business/finance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Financial analysis skills in a technological/programming environment
  • Experience in end-to-end business process transformation, change management and continuous improvement management
  • Natural ability to foster client communication and collaboration
  • Knowledge on how to improve business processes
  • Experience with test scenarios
  • Experience with user support
  • Ability to think strategically, analytical, synthesis and communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management methodology (Scrum, Kanban,) fundamental understanding of the inner workings of a financial services institution and related treasury department
  • Knowledge of treasury products and solutions (foreign exchange, commodities, interest rates, etc.)
  • A natural curiosity that drives you to explore complex topics with multiple interdependencies and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze, extract and interpret relevant information from legal and regulatory texts
  • Very good written and spoken knowledge of French/English (Spanish preferably also)
  • CFA or FRM certification is an asset
